‘AWA around-the-world’ for Women’s Day

Calling Art-angels to play host in March 2019
For International Women’s Day in March 2019, AWA and its Art Angels are organizing awareness-raising events in various locations around the world. AWA’s Angels are invited to host and facilitate an informal talk or give an ‘AWA lecture’ in their homes or at a local museum, library, art gallery, community center or organize a ‘screening’ of an AWA documentary, e.g. Invisible Women or When the World Answered, followed by a question/answer period. These events aim to raise awareness, garner support, boost our growing advocacy program and capture press attention. By hosting ‘live’ events worldwide, we aim to create a connection between art lovers and friendly institutions to boost exposure to Advancing Women Artists’ quest. In short, we will ‘spread the word, by spreading our wings’. Participating institutions will be featured as event partners on the AWA website, our Insider’s magazine and in our press/social media campaign linked to the Women’s Day initiative ‘worldwide’.
