#TheFirstLast Plautilla Nelli Crowdfunding Launched

On March 1, 2017, AWA launched its first ever crowdfunding camapaign on Indiegogo, called #TheFirstLast. The call to action? "Restore this masterpiece by Plautilla Nelli". The work of art in question is Nelli's *Last Supper*, property of the city of Florence, to be displayed at the Santa Maria Novella museum once work is complete in April 2018. But this painting, by Florence's first documented woman artist, is in desperate need of restoration, and AWA wants women and men from around the world to come together to make this happen.
The monetary goal of this campaign is $65,000, to be raised in 46 days online (ending, appropriately, on Easter Sunday).
In the first 3 days online, we saw almost 100 women get involved to donate over 30% of our goal. We hope that enthusiasm and participation continues at this level. Take a look at the video below and head over to Indiegogo to make your donation!
