Cancer patients, family and staff at Santa Maria Nuova Hospital with AWA and Fondazione S. Maria Nuova
To share the holiday spirit, AWA teamed up with our partner Fondazione Santa Maria Nuova, which safeguards and protects the artistic heritage of one of Florence’s most ancient hospitals. ‘The art of healing’ is the name of our latest project restoring the works of Violante Ferroni, but on December 12, 2019, we took the phrase literally. Cancer patients, their families and hospital staff and administrators came together in Santa Maria Nuova’s Salone Matino V, to discuss their multiple programs in which creativity is a fundamental support to treatment. For the entire month of December, women in the Oncology Ward and Day Hospital received a bottle of the fragrance ‘Invisible’, created by our founder Jane Fortune (1948-2018) who would have liked nothing better than to share the spirit of Christmas by gifting her signature perfume from Aquaflor, which tributes women artists throughout the centuries.
