Upcoming exhibition of Florence’s first woman artists to be inaugurated in March 2017. Don’t miss the first-ever monographic exhibition featuring Renaissance convent-artist Plautilla Nelli, on show at the Uffizi Gallery from March 8 to April 30. Curated by Nelli-scholar Fausta Navarro, ”Nelli and the Art and Devotion” is part of a multi-year program spearheaded by the Uffizi Gallery’s director Eike Schmidt. AWA is restoring 5 works by Nelli for the show and underwriting the exhibition catalog.
