A highlight for 2019
On April 3 and 4, 2019, AWA hosted its annual US Board and Council meeting in Boca Grande, Florida, a charming town on Gasparilla Island off the Gulf Coast, northwest of Fort Myers. Our reunited Board of Directors happily welcomed neo-officers Nancy Hunt as Vice President and Stuart Jacobs as Treasurer. Three new board members also joined the fold: Connie Clark, Donna Malin and Margie MacKinnon. We looked to the future, filled with upcoming advocacy events, didactic programs and new publications. Many Board and Council members will be in town (in Florence!) in October 2019, to join in the festivities, as the year draws to an exciting close with our next Sojourn, whose highlight is Nelli’s much-awaited unveiling at Santa Maria Novella.
