A highlight for 2018
No gesture goes un-noticed when it comes as a tribute to art by women! The angel pictured here is a detail from Plautilla Nelli's Annunciation, recently displayed at Palazzo Vecchio, post restoration. We at AWA are touched to find that 'Stampa in Stampa', the communications company that produces the museum's signage has decided to waive its fees, for the plaques linked to our last two restorations (Nelli's above) and Palazzo Vecchio's Portrait of Anna Maria Luisa. This gesture of solidarity is a surefire sign that enthusiasm for AWA's mission is growing in Florence and throughout the world. Thank you, Stampa in Stampa for this un-expected, extremely appreciated gesture to the benefit of art by historic women in Florence's collections!
