Renewed cultural committment and the project's players at a glance. This project brings together many of AWA's 'historic partners'. The quest for culture must move forward in myriad ways, by partnering with private and public institutions as well as diplomatic and cultural organizations and the press.
- This project will be funded by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio Firenze and AWA. The former will be hosting a multiple-artist exhibition in their historic venue in via Bufalini in autumn 2018.
- Cultural Association Il Palmerino will provide a Tuscan-hillside salon for cultural events that gather together national and international art lover, artists and thinkers..
- Gabinetto Vieusseux is Florence's oldest lending library with Italy's foremost collection of 20th centuries writers, once the reading room of Mark Twain, DH Lawrence. Its Contemporary Archive "A. Bonsanti" is a treasure trove for art by women. 5 works by Leonetta Pieraccini Cecchi will benefit from restoration and maintenance.
- The project is made possible by art loans from all over Italy, including both private and public collections like Rome's Gallery of Modern Art as well as private collections all over the country. The artists' heirs will also be participating, which emphasizes this project's idea of delving into living memory and restoring these painters' stories to the world while their friends and relatives are still living.
- The US Consulate in Florence, always a supporter to US-Italian cultural initiatives, has offered its high patronage in support of this initiative.
- The Florentine, Tuscany's English-language newspaper has reconfirmed its long-time role as the project's media partner.
- Rossella Lari Studio and Angela Gavazzi from the Gabinetto Vieusseux’s restoration labs will execute the restorations involved.
- Exhibition curators Chiara Toti and Lucia Mannini have been selected to curate this cutting-edge show and produce new research, published in the project's catalog. They are two of Florence's top scholars on twentieth-century art (by women).
