Joining forces with local associations to promote Tuscany's treasures all around. AWA's role in this project is one of research, catalog curation, cultural outreach and intern management. With Il Palmerino, we will be working with conservator Beatrice Cuniberti, Director of Atelier degli Artigianelli, who is restoring a self-portrait by Colliva as an off-shoot of our 'Women who drew' initiative. Other project partners include, the Fondazione Bertocchi-Colliva, headed by art historian Beatrice Buscaroli, and the Municipalities of Fiesole and Monzuno. The latter will be hosting an exhibition by Il Palmerino's former owner, English-born artist Lola Costa (dates TBA).
Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) and Appenino Slow will be curating a lecture on the Via degli Dei. Two organized hikes will be part of this summertime extravaganza.
Project development is currently in progress and organizers are seeking the patronage of the Municipality of Florence, Firenze Città Metropolitana and the Tuscan Region, whose own goals are akin to those of this program.
