This summer-time art extravaganza takes AWA on the Pathway to the Gods. It includes the painting exhibition on Lea Colliva at Il Palmerino that will run from June 7 to July 7. Related cultural events will continue there until mid-September: conferences, a music performance and guided hikes. It will finish off with a poetry-award event and the screening of documentary shorts produced by the youth who hiked the Florence-Bologna trail (contest finalists only). A program tailored to young people—they will not only see art, they will create and share it!
Pilgrims, art lovers and hikers continue to trek from Monzuno (Bologna) to Florence on foot, following the footpaths travelled first by the Etruscans and then by ancient Roman militia. The 'Via degli Dei' later became a medieval pilgrims’ trail and the hike is now a coming-of-age event for younger generations looking to enjoy Slow Travel.
