We started in Florence, but our mission is expanding to art by women in the whole of Tuscany. AWA first teamed up with the Tuscan Regional Council for ‘Women Artists of the 1900s’, a joint-project that was the brainchild of Il Palmerino and AWA. The 2016 Edition featured artists Adriana Pincherle and Eloisa Pacini, and included an exhibition at the Region’s Palace in Via Cavour, called ‘Adriana Pincherle: Colors of an Artist’. This Tuscany-wide project included other notable partners including the Alessandro Bonsanti Contemporary Archive at the Gabinetto Vieusseux and the Fondazione Giovanni Michelucci, which owns the bulk of Pacini’s collected works.
