2004 Anna Maria Luisa de’ Medici Awardee. Marchesa Alessandra Marchi Pandolfini (1934-2015) co-founded Centro Di in 1968. The center is dedicated to publishing books on art history, architecture and the decorative arts including exhibition catalogs, monographic studies, specialized magazines, museum catalogs and more. She was a founding member of the Friends of the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens, which was created in 1996. These organizations help generate funds for restoration and maintenance projects, tours, lectures, concerts and exhibitions.
