Palaces or Churches? Florence is ‘waking up’ to its multi-century history of art by women. AWA has conceived and carried out many conservation projects to the benefit of the Florence Civic Museums, working in close contact with several of the city’s most important offices, including the Mayor’s Office, its International Relations Department and the Equal Opportunities Office. It has restored works for Palazzo Vecchio, the Santa Maria Novella Complex, Santa Maria del Carmine and Florence’s Twentieth-century Museum—all venues and religious institutions under the city’s tutelage.
