Pendants for women artists
who 'bent the rules'

AWA's pendant is designed and handmade by Nerdi Orafi, an artisanal goldsmith near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. It represents a tiny painter's palette with a curved paintbrush, a tribute to historic women artists who 'bent the rules'. It’s a lovely trinket and a ‘conversation piece’ designed to help spark constructive conversations in support of our programs. Florentine goldsmithery has been a precious craft in the city where know-how is passed down from generation to generation. In the Nerdi workshop two sisters Daniela and Silvia Messeri work together with creativity and passion upholding the craftsmanship typical of their family traditions. It is the hands of its artisans that have made Florence great throughout the centuries!

Based on donor-gift level, AWA's pendant available in three materials: silver, silver with 18kt gold, and 18kt gold. It has been made using a hammering technique on the palette contrasting with the smooth and thick form of the brush.

(Chain not included).
