San Salvi’s deposits provide a glimpse of ‘what’s in store’ for Anna Piattoli in the future. A signed work in need of restoration, Praying Saint Francis is currently in storage at the San Salvi Museum. AWA’s Director Italy and San Salvi’s curator are currently examining the work, which is in dire need of restoration. Additionally, the Uffizi’s storerooms house Padre Idefonso di San Luigi Gonzaga and Padre Giovanni Maria di Gesù, two other religious paintings attributed to the artist. They cannot be viewed by the public and are a present reminder of how much ‘invisible art’ is waiting to be saved.
